Last Wednesday, February 22, 2023, the Secretariat of Commerce (hereinafter the “SC”) issued RESOL-2023-96-APN-SC#MEC -clarified by RESOL-2023-133-APN-SC#MEC- whereby it resolved to impose on the firm CERVECERÍA Y MALTERÍA QUILMES S.A.I.C.A. y G. (hereinafter “Cervecería Quilmes”) a total penalty of TWO MILLION THREE HUNDRED NINETY SIX THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED THREE (2,396,603) MOBILE UNITS payable at the value of the mobile unit established at the time the sanctioning administrative act becomes final. At present, the value of the mobile unit is $ 162.55, therefore the value of the fine amounts to THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN SEVENTEEN AND SIXTY FIVE CENTS ($389,567,817.65).
