Decree 847/2024 of the National Executive Power, published in the Official Gazette on 09/26/24, regulates Titles IV and V of Law No. 27,742 regarding the labor aspects of the so-called Basic Law.
The Decree establishes important provisions in connection with the promotion of registered employment, the termination of employment system, the simplification of registration and the regimes applicable to self-employed workers with collaborators.
Through the regulation of Law 27,742, it seeks to update labor regulations in Argentina to promote the formalization of employment and facilitate compliance with labor obligations. In this report, the key points of the decree are analyzed, with special emphasis on the regime for the promotion of registered employment, the simplification of the employment contract, the severance fund and the self-employment regime.
