The Federal Court of Appeals of Mar del Plata lifted the precautionary measure that prevented the continuity of offshore seismic exploration activities in the North Basin of the Argentine Continental Shelf, more than 300 km from the nearest city and appointed Permanent Observers of the environmental impact of the activity.

Within the framework of the case FUNDACION GREENPEACE ARGENTINA AND OTHERS v. NATIONAL STATE OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC AND OTHERS S/ ENVIRONMENTAL AMBARMENT, the Federal Court of Mar del Plata – Civil Secretariat, resolved to lift the precautionary measure duly ordered in the proceedings in order to give continuity to the activities of the project called “ARGENTINA OFFSHORE SEISMIC ACQUISITION CAMPAIGN: CUENCA ARGENTINA NORTE”, considering that both the National Government and the company EQUINOR complied with all the requirements established therein.
