On August 12, 2024, Decree No. 718/2024 was published in the Official Gazette with news regarding the hydroelectric power plants whose concessions expired last year.
There it was established that the current Concessionaires ORAZUL ENERGY CERROS COLORADOS SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (concessionaire of the Cerros Colorados Hydroelectric Complex), ENEL GENERACIÓN EL CHOCÓN SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (concessionaire of the El Chocón-Arroyito Hydroelectric Complex), ENEL GENERACIÓN EL CHOCÓN SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (concessionaire of the El Chocón-Arroyito Hydroelectric Complex) and AES ALICURÁ SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (concessionaire of the Alicurá Hydroelectric Complex) and CENTRAL PUERTO SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (concessionaire of the Piedra del Águila Hydroelectric Complex), to continue operating the Hydroelectric Complexes for a maximum term of ONE (1) year as long as they submit the Letter of Adhesion approved as Annex I of Decree 718/2024.
