On January 26, 2024, Resolution 51/2024 (hereinafter, the “Resolution”) was published in the Official Gazette in order to develop policies aimed at consumer protection.
That in view of the change of authorities recently occurred in all levels of the National Public Administration referred to the deepening of the freedom of markets, promoting the spontaneous interaction between supply and demand as a way to organize and reactivate the economy, facilitating the operation of markets and domestic and foreign trade, promoting market deregulation and regulatory simplification, it is pertinent to proceed to a comprehensive review of all regulatory and complementary rules issued within the scope of this Enforcement Authority in order to align market regulation policies, proceeding to a true simplification of processes in relation to the consumer, as well as the elimination of obstacles and barriers to trade.
